My Favorite Things

This painting began as an exercise in creating a self-portrait without painting my face. Instead, I chose objects that represented pieces of who I was and what I loved.

The composition includes some of my most treasured possessions and personal symbols — my ballet toe shoe, my favorite flowers, my perfume, and other objects chosen for their beauty and meaning. Together, they became a kind of portrait through memory, color, and personal history.
